Men of War: Assault Squad 2 is a real-time tactics / strategy game set in World War II. It is a sequel to the 2011 game Men of War: Assault Squad. The early access version of the game was released on March 20, 2014. This generated some controversy, since the full game was supposed to release on this date, but instead fans got early access. It was fully released on the 15th of May 2014.

Dark Souls is a third-person action RPG. The core mechanic of the game is that it uses death to teach players how to react in hostile environments, encouraging repetition, learning from past mistakes, and prior experience as a means of overcoming its difficulty.Dark Souls takes place in a large and continuous open world environment, connected through a central hub area. Players are able to travel to and from areas and explore various paths, although certain prerequisites have to be met in order to unlock certain areas. Scattered throughout the game world are bosses and creatures of varying types that must be defeated. From almost all enemies killed, the player will receive a relative amount of "souls" which act as both currency and experience points. Evolve is set on Shear, a distant planet located in the "Far Arm" of space, that humanity has traveled to in the distant future. The established colonies, considered the most valuable in this region of space, are soon attacked by malevolent alien Monsters. As the Monsters destroy the colonies on Shear, a former planet tamer named William Cabot is brought out of retirement to deal with the threat, in order to evacuate the remaining colonists from Shear. In response, Cabot assembles a team of Hunters—consisting of war veterans, psychopaths, professionals, and expendables—to eliminate the Monsters, setting the main conflict of Evolve.

Frontlines: Fuel of War is a first-person shooter game for Microsoft Windows and Xbox 360. It was released February 25, 2008 in North America. It was produced by the now-defunct Kaos Studios. Frontlines: Fuel of War was also originally in development for thePlayStation 3, although THQ announced it had canceled work on this version on January 24, 2008, seemingly as a result of problems with developing for the PS3, issues that had been referenced in interviews prior to the PS3 version's cancellation.

Grim Fandango is an adventure game, in which the player controls Manuel "Manny" Calavera ('calavera' being Spanish for 'skull') as he follows Mercedes "Meche" Colomar in the Underworld. The game uses the GrimE engine, pre-rendering static backgrounds from 3D models, while the main objects and characters are animated in 3D. The player controls Manny's movements and actions with a keyboard, a joystick, or a gamepad. Manny must collect objects that can be used with either other collectible objects, parts of the scenery, or with other people in the Land of the Dead in order to solve puzzles and progress in the game. The game lacks any type of HUD. Unlike the earlier 2D LucasArts games, the player is informed of objects or persons of interest not by text floating on the screen when the player passes a cursor over them, but instead by the fact that Manny will turn his head towards that object or person as he walks by. The player reviews the inventory of items that Manny has collected by watching him pull each item in and out of his coat jacket. Manny can engage in dialogue with other characters through conversation trees to gain hints of what needs to be done to solve the puzzles or to progress the plot. As in most LucasArts adventure games, the player can never die or otherwise get into a no-win situation (that prevents completion of the game).

There are three main resources that are managed in Warcraft III: gold, lumber, and food. Grey Goo is a science fictionreal-time strategyvideo game that was released on January 23, 2015 for Microsoft Windows. It features a playable faction based on the grey goo scenario. In Grey Goo players can choose one of three playable factions: the Humans, the Beta, or the Goo and use them to complete a single-player campaign or play in a competitive multiplayer mode versus other players. The Goo faction features the game's namesake, self replicating nanobots that can move around the map consuming enemies and forming themselves into new units. Each faction features a unique set of units, structures, and play style as well as its own segment of the single-player campaign. The game bases itself around "macro decisions over micro management" and will feature a qwert hotkey system for unit control and construction. Also, maps feature terrain obstructing vision similar to games such as Dota and League of Legends.
